FAQs

I need help writing a grant.  Where can I learn how?
A great resource is the Foundation Center, which answers more than 150 FAQs about grants on its website. Another resource to try is the Grants Information Center at Dayton Metro Library.

Will AAGP members help me write a grant proposal?
As a membership association, MVAAGP does not offer proposal review and writing.  However, its individual members may work independently as consultants.  Attending a meeting may help you identify individuals who are willing to do this work.

Grant writing is just one part of my job as a fundraiser.  Is AAGP for me?
Membership is open to any individual with an interest in and commitment to the grants profession.  Our members are grant proposal developers, independent consultants, grant makers, directors of development, executive directors and board members.  The group includes beginning grant writers, active professionals, retired people, and those exploring grant writing as a possible career.

How do I get certified as a grant writer?
The Grants Professional Certification (GPC) was introduced in 2007.  For information please visit www.grantcredential.org.
